Day 6, TODAY! (Couldn't post yesterday's blog until today, so that's actually yesterday!): Bus tour through Barcelona starts! The tour started out great until the little boy right behind me got SICK!! He threw up everywhere and we had to get off the bus. The next bus never came...we waited forever! We ended up taking the city bus...they were a little nervous, but it was just another one of my everyday experiences. We bought a huge duffel bag off of Las Rambla for me to take home the rest of the my belongings and purchased a few more scarfs at our favorite store! I took them to one of my favorite restaurants today, LACTUCA, the enormous salad buffet and they all loved it!! James and Estell sat next to us, from Spain, and wished us the best of luck with the rest of our trip. (Apparently we can't take anything Estell said seriously, because Sherilyn quotes, "But she didn't have any teeth...") We took the rest of the tour and went to the mall down by the port, Marmagnum, and purchased gifts for the families!
Rummy and Sangria have become our new addiction! We seem to settle into the hotel early these nights after a long day of touring the city. We bought two bottles of Sangria (Sherilyn would like to point out 11.5% alcohol and claims only one glass for her...) at the Supermercado and are playing Rummy in Sherilyn and Jo Jo's room...the two bottles already gone. Just waiting to Skype with Dad and then off to bed for another early night to get ready for the bus tour and Barcelona monuments!! However, I might have to go out with a friend tonight to get away from the crazy family! :) ("Hugo Chevez")
Just to fill you in...Grandma is missing eyebrows by 6 pm...those of you know how she likes to draw them in...
Quotes of the day:
Sherilyn: "I have chest pains and I'm wetting my pants." "I have teeth though..."
Tammy: "Why didn't I bring any of my products?! (Diapers I think?)" "I'm not a mess...I'm just laughing at what they're taying!!"
Grandma's new quote: "I'm always cold, my hands are blue...what else is new?" And of course she's always "shooting ducks!"
This may not be as funny to some, but good memories and inside jokes for the Girls Trip 2009 :)
